Traveling The Lower 48

Retiring in 2008, Carolyn and I set out in a new direction – literally.    RV traveling.  We soon learned there were so many places in the U.S. that we had never seen, nor even heard of, that it was time to create and conquer a new bucket list.  By 2015 we had traveled about 65,000 miles and visited 28 states.   Never have we looked back, and there is a lot more to do and see.

After about 8 years of traveling back and forth across the country and trying to determine if RV traveling was really for us, Carolyn and I decided it was time to do something different.  So one afternoon while visiting Florida, we stopped into Lazy Days RV, Seffner, Florida.  A few days later we drove away in our 40 foot 2016 Tiffin Allegro Bus.

Now moving from a 34 foot Fifth Wheel RV to a Class A motor coach wasn’t all that difficult of a decision in itself.  In fact, I suppose the only real downside was that in the process of purchasing the coach, we gave up our 2008 Ford F350 Superduty truck.  That was a very nice truck!

All in all we are enjoying the different mode of travel and plan on continuing to share time between our Texas home, the motor yacht (MV Patriot) and the ‘Coach’.
